12 sliced pared carrots
1/4 cup butter or oleo
1 small minced onion
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
2 cups milk
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. celery salt or seed
1/2 pound sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cups bread crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350*. Cook carrots in small amount of salted water until tender. Drain. Melt 1/4 cup butter in pan, cook 1 small onion 2 to 3 minutes in butter. Stir in 1/4 cup flour, salt, dry mustard and 2 cups milk. Cook until smooth, add pepper and celery salt. In 2 quart greased casserole, arrange carrots and then a layer of thinly sliced cheese. Pour sauce over all and top with bread crumbs. Bake 25 minutes until brown and bubbly.
