Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 16 BAG OF BLACK EYED PEAS (DUH!)
4 GREEN ONIONS, CHOPPED
1 BELL PEPPER, RED IF YOU CAN AFFORD EM
1 JALAPEŅO PEPPER, DICED
1 3 OUNCE PACKAGE PEPPERONI SLICES DICED
2.5 CUPS HOT WATER/ OR EVEN BETTER CHICKEN BROTH
1 PACKAGE OF GOY A HAM SEASONING
1/2 TEASPOON SALT/OR-GARLIC SALT
'l4 TEASPOON RED PEPPER/CRUSHED OR GROUND
1 CAN MEXICAN STYLE STEWED TOMATOES
CUP UNCOOKED RICE

Directions:
Directions:
1. Put peas in a 5 quart slow cooker. Cover with water 2 inches above peas; let stand 8
hours. That would be overnight while you're out getting all liquored up!
2. Drag you big head out of bed. Drain the beans. It's easier if you use a colander.
3. Combine peas and next 9 ingredients in slow cooker. Don't forget to plug it in!!
Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours or on HIGH for 4 hours if you want them to be
ready before the game starts.
4. Stir in the tomatoes and rice and cook for about 30 more minutes or until the rice is
tender. Makes about 12 bowls for normal people, of course we don't know any normal
people so make sure you get the first bowl before you tell anybody they're ready!

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
If your going to try this on New Year's day you will probably be hung over like the rest
of the world so you might want to start this the night before. If you want to try this some
other time and you want to make it quicker read the directions on the back of the bag 0'
peas for the quick cook, and cook a cup or so of rice on the side.
