Sweet and Sour Meatballs Recipe

meatballs; l lb lean ground beef
1 egg, lightly beaten
3/4 c milk
1 c soft breadcrumbs
2 tbsp finely minced onion
salt and pepper to taste

sauce: 14-oz. can pineapple tidbits
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c vinegar
1/4 c ketchup
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch

Combine meatball ingredients in bowl well and form into 1-in balls. Place in shallow baking pan and bake 20-30 min in 375F.

Drain pineapple juice and reserve. In large pan, combine pineapple juice, sugar, vinegar, ketchup and soy sauce. Whisk together and bring to boil, then reduce, simmer 10 min. Blend cornstarch with 2 tbsp cold water and stir into hot sauce; cook until thickened.

Add meatballs and pineapple tidbits to sauce. Serve.
