1/3 c gran sugar
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
12 tbsp unsalted butter, cut in pcs and softened
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 lg egg yolk
1 1/2 c flour

Directions:
Directions:
In a food processor, 30 sec, sugar, brown sugar, salt. Add butter, vanilla and egg yolk - process another 20 sec.

Scrape sides; add flour; pulse 15 sec.

Turn dough onto floured surface and roll into logs. Wrap tightly with plastic and refrig at least 2 hours - up to 3 days. Can be frozen at this point for up to 1 month.
Bake at 350 degrees on parchment for 15 min (until edges are golden). Cool 10 min on the sheets, then transfer to wire rack.
