1 T. sugar
2 t. flour
pinch of salt
1/2 c. milk
2 egg yolks
1 T. sugar
1/2 c. cold milk
1/2 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 3 ingredients in double boiler. Stir in 1/2 c. milk slowly. Beat egg yolks; add 1/2 c. cold milk and sugar. Stir into hot milk mixture. Cook over simmering, not boiling, water. Cook until sauce forms thick coating on spoon. Add vanilla. Pour into bowl and cool. Cover to avoid surface to skim over.
