1 T. cornstarch
2 c. water
4 T. butter
2 t. vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, cornstarch and water. Bring to boil. Add butter and vanilla and cook until clear. Serve over cake or pudding.

For other variations: omit vanilla and replace with any other extract.

omit vanilla and replace with 2 t. lemon juice and 1 T. lemon rind

omit vanilla and replace with 2 t. nutmeg
