1 c. sugar
1/3 c. water
3 T. water
4 T. cream or butter (or mixture of each)
pinch of salt

Directions:
Cook sugar and 1/3 c. water 2 - 3 minutes covered. Uncover and boil until syrup begins to brown. When bubbling ceases pour in 3 T. water. Remove from heat and whip in cream or butter and salt.
