1 1/2 t. cornstarch
1/4 t. salt
3/4 c. sugar
3 c. whole milk
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. whipping cream
1 1/2 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cornstarch, salt and sugar in top of double boiler to a thin paste with 2 c. milk. Cook over boiling water 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Beat eggs until light, gradually stir in small amount of hot cornstarch mixture and return to double boiler and cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Cool. Pour through strainer, stir in the remaining milk, cream and vanilla. Freeze in ice cream maker.
