9" baked pie shell
2/3 sugar
3 T corn starch
1/4 t salt
3 egg yolks
1 c evaporated milk
1 c water
1 1/2 t vanilla
1/4 t butter
3 bananas
Meringue:
3 egg whites
1/4 t cream of tarter
6 T sugar


Directions:
Directions:
Combine in saucepan sugar, corn starch, salt and egg yolks. Combine next four ingredients and stir into first mixture. Cook slowly and constantly. Pour 1/2 pudding mixture into pie shell then sliced bananas then remaining pudding. To make meringue beat until you have firm peaks. Place meringue on top of pudding and let cool completely before serving.
