3/4 c. butter, soft
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/8 c. strawberry jam
3 1/3 c. flour
1 1/2 t. baking soda
1 1/2 t. nutmeg
3/4 t. allspice
3/4 t. cloves
3/4 t. cinnamon
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1 3/4 c. raisins
3/4 c. nuts, chopped
3/4 c. chopped peeled apples

Icing:
1 c. conf. sugar
4 t. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in jam. Add flour, baking soda and spices alternately with buttermilk. Stir in raisins, nuts and apples. Pour into greased and floured fluted tube pan. Bake at 350* for about 1 hour. Cool.

Icing:
Combine conf. sugar and milk; mix until smooth. Drizzle over cake.
