Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4 cups sugar
1 1/4 cup Pet Milk
3 cups pecan halves
1 hunk butter
1 tinch vanilla or maybe

Directions:
Directions:
Brown 1 cup sugar in a little bitty black skillet, while letting other sugar and milk come to a boil in a heavy Dutch oven. Add browned sugar to other mixture, stirring all the while. Cook to a firm ball stage. Remove from heat; add flavoring an butter. Beat until mixture coats spoon. (Will cling to spoon when spoon is held over pan and turned upside down.) Stir in pecans and drop quickly by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. You could use some help on this last step because they set up rather quickly.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Notes: Name brand sugar seems to brown better than others. I usually add more pecans than the recipe calls for. Hunk of butter is about 1/3 stick. Tinch is about a capful of a small flavoring bottle.

This recipe came from an old lady that worked at Pioneer years ago.
