1 c. boiling water
1 c. dates, chopped
1 t. soda
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter
1 egg, beaten
1 t. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over the dates and soda. Let stand. Cream sugar and butter. Add egg and vanilla. Add dry ingredients, date mixture and nuts. Pour into greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350* for about 35 minutes.
