2 squares (1 oz. each) chocolate
1/2 c. milk
1 egg yolk
1 T. butter
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1 t. baking soda
1/2 c. milk
1 t. vanilla

Boiled Icing:
1 c. sugar
3 T. water
1 egg white

Directions:
Directions:
Shave chocolate thin and cook with 1/2 c. milk and egg yolk until it boils. Remove and add butter and sugar. Pour in flour and soda dissolved in milk and vanilla. Pour into greased 8" pan. Bake at 375* for 25 minutes.

Boiled Icing:
Mix together sugar and water. Boil until it spins thread. Pour slowly into stiffly beaten egg white. When it begins to stiffen, quickly spread over cooled cake.
