1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup milk
1 cup bananas
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup nuts

Frosting:
1 (8 oz) pkg. cream cheese
3/4 stick margarine
2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together baking powder, salt, soda, flour, sugar and shortening (cream sugar and shortening first). Add 1/4 cup milk and bananas. Beat 2 minutes. Add eggs, vanilla, nuts and remaining milk. Beat 1 minute. Pour into an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for 35 - 40 minutes. Cool and frost with cream cheese frosting.

Frosting: Soften cream cheese and margarine. Beat together with mixer. Add powdered sugar, vanilla and milk. Spread on bars.
