1 lb. sirloin or top round steak
3 tbsp. cooking oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 medium garlic clove, minced
1 (4 oz) can sliced mushrooms, drained
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 can (10.25 oz) beef consommé
1/2 cup water
1 cup sour cream
Salt and pepper to taste
1 pkg. egg noodles

Directions:
Directions:
Slice beef across grain into thin 1/2" strips. In a large skillet, sauté beef, add onion, garlic and mushrooms. Stir and cook 5 minutes; stir in soup, consommé, water, salt and pepper. Simmer on low heat for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and add sour cream.
Prepare egg noodles and drain. Toss noodles with 3 tbsp. butter. Serve stroganoff over noodles.
