1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. applesauce
2 c. flour
1/2 t. soda
1/2 t. salt
2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. nutmeg
1 t. cloves
1/2 c. raisins

Directions:
Cream together shortening and sugars. Add eggs and applesauce. Add dry ingredients. Mix well. Stir in raisins. Pour into greased 9" square pan and bake at 350*.
