Crock Pot Pepper Steak Recipe

1 1/2 pounds round steak, sliced
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can French onion soup
1 can of water
1 large green pepper, sliced
1 large onion sliced
1 bay leaf
Directions:
Directions:
Whisk soups and water in crock pot. Add bay leaf, peppers, onions, and steak. Stir and cover, cook for about 7 hours on high or 8-9 hrs on low. Done when meat is fork tender.

To thicken gravy about an hour before done mix 1-2 tablespoons flour with about a quarter cup of liquid and add mixture back in to crock pot. You can also make a rue and ladle some of the liquid in the crock pot in to the rue and whisk until smooth and then add back to crock pot and it will thicken.

Best served over rice or egg noodles, mashed potatoes work too.

As requested Carolyn another hearty weekday meal that can cook while you're at work. Sometimes I like to add mushrooms and a dollop of sour cream to make it more like stroganoff.
