Core and slice apples. Add enough water to keep from sticking to the bottom of the pan. Don't add too much or the applesauce will be runny! Simmer until apples are tender. Press through a food mill or sieve. Add sugar to taste. Cool. Place in freezer containers and freeze.

This is a favorite of our family. We thaw slightly and eat it slushy! A must have with sausage gravy, biscuits and peas. The first time I remember having applesauce and frozen peas was when Bryan & I were dating. He fixed me dinner and made peas in the microwave with butter and pepper. They were wonderful. I've eaten peas ever since!
