2 eggs lightly beaten
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup shortening
3 cup oatmeal
1 1/2 cup flour
1 TBSP vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs, sugar, shortening and vanilla together. Mix dry ingredients together. Add dry ingredients and mix. Make into roll and lets stand in "ice box". Slice and bake "moderate oven".

Grandma's alterations - 2 TBSP molasses, 1 cup raisins, 1 cup nuts, 2 cup oatmeal, 2 cup flour, 2 tsp baking powder. Bake at 350º for 12-15 minutes.
