1 package yeast
1 1/4 c. warm water (105* - 115*)
1 t. sugar
1 t. salt
1 T. margarine, melted
1 egg, beaten
2 3/4 - 3 1/4 c. flour
oil for frying (salad oil)

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar, salt, margarine and egg. Stir in enough flour to make a soft dough. On lightly floured surface knead dough for several minutes and let rise until doubled in bulk, about 20 - 30 minutes. Roll dough to 1/2" thick, cut into 2" squares. Drop into hot oil and fry briefly until brown; drain on paper towels. Serve immediately with honey, conf. sugar etc. 4 dozen
