Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
1-2 lb Beef stew meat - cut into 1 inch chunks
4- 6 medium potatoes peeled and cut into 1 -2 inch size chunks
1 small onion bite size chunks
1 lb pkg carrots (baby carrots) or 4-5 long carrots cut into 1 inch size chunks
2 stalks celery cut into 1 inch size chunks
1 large can of tomatoes - either in chunks or whole and slightly mash them
1 T sugar
1 t salt
1 t pepper
3 T Minute Tapioca (for thickening)
add a couple pinches of thyme and rosemary or one bay leaf
2 oz red wine (optional)

Put all ingredients into crock pot and mix. Cook on low for 8 hours.
OR place in deep dish oven safe pot or dutch oven and bake in oven for 3-5 hours at 300º.
Remove bay leaf before serving if you put one in.

Good to serve with biscuits, or corn muffins.
