3 3/4 c. - 4 1/4 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar, divided
2 packages yeast
1 1/2 t. salt
3/4 c. milk
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. butter, cubed
1 egg
1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 egg yolk
1/2 t. vanilla

Glaze:
1 c. conf. sugar
1/2 t. vanilla
3 - 4 t. water

Directions:
In a large bowl, combine 1 c. flour, 1/2 c. sugar, yeast and salt. In saucepan, heat milk, water and butter to 120* - 130*. Add dry ingredients. Beat on medium for 2 minutes. Add egg and 1/2 c. flour, beat on high 2 minutes. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a stiff dough. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Turn onto board, divide into 18 pieces. Shape into 15" rope, form coil, tuck ends under. Place on greased baking sheet. Cover, let rise about 1 hour.
Combine cream cheese, egg yolk, vanilla and 1/4 c. sugar. Beat until smooth. Using spoon make 1" wide indentation in center of coil. Spoon cream cheese mixture into each. Bake at 400* for 10 - 12 minutes or until browned. Cool on racks.

Glaze:
Combine glaze ingredients together. Drizzle over cooled coils. Store in refrigerator. 1 1/2 dozen
