1 c. scalded milk
1/3 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
1/4 t. salt
1 t. sugar
1 package yeast
2 T. warm water
1 egg, beaten
3 1/4 - 4 c. flour
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. allspice
1/2 c. seedless raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Combine milk, sugar, shortening and salt; cool to lukewarm. Mix together 1 t. sugar, yeast and water; dissolve. Add to lukewarm milk mixture. Add egg, 2 1/2 c. flour, cinnamon, allspice and raisins. Add enough more flour to make soft dough. Place in greased bowl, cover and let rise until double in bulk. Knead and shape into 2" balls, place on greased baking pan. Brush each bun with egg white. Cover and let rise. Bake at 375* for 25 minutes. Cool and frost. 2 dozen
