Stale bread slices, or sliced crusty bread
egg
milk
vanilla extract
cinnamon
butter

Directions:
Directions:
Beat the eggs with a little milk, cinnamon, & vanilla. Dip the bread slices in the egg mixture to coat both sides. Melt 2 Tbsp. butter in a skillet over medium heat. Put 2 slices egg-dipped bread in skillet. When one side is browned & firm, turn the bread over & cook the other side. Add more butter as needed & cook remaining egg-dipped bread slices.
Serve with maple syrup, jam, or dusted with powdered sugar.
