1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar firmly packed
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. M&M Plain Chocolates (3/4 lb. bag)
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugars, eggs, and vanilla thoroughly. Sift together flour, soda, and salt. Add dry ingredients gradually to creamed mixture. Mix well. Stir in 1/2 cup M&Ms; reserve remaining candies for decorating. Drop by teaspoon on ungreased baking sheet. Decorate tops of cookies with remaining M&Ms. Bake at 375º for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 6 dozen (2 1/4" cookies).
