PIE:
1 9" cooked pie crust
3 egg yolks
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour (heaping full)
Few grains salt
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

MERINGUE:
3 eggs white
1/4 tsp. Cream of Tartar
6 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg yolks well. Add sugar gradually. Add flour, salt, and cocoa; stir well. Add milk; cook and stir over low heat until thick. After it thickens, remove from heat, add butter and vanilla. Cool filling and crust. Pour filling into crust. For meringue, beat egg whites until foamy. Add Cream of Tartar and gradually add sugar; beat until stiff, then add vanilla. Top pie with meringue, then brown meringue in 450º until light brown.
