1 1/2 lbs flanken or stew meat...browned well
2 green cabbage cored and chopped coarsely
1 sweet onion chopped thin
4 garlic cloves...smashed with side of knife
1 large can tomato paste
1 large can tomato puree
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
6 Tbs fresh lemon juice
2 bay leaves
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper
1-1 1/2 cups dark brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
3 quarts beef stock
2 cups water
1 cup golden raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onion and garlic in one tbs vegetable oil till soft. Add cabbage and onion and saute covered until softened but not browned. Add browned beef and all remaining ingredients. Simmer covered on low for 2 hours.
