1 box chocolate cake mix (2 layer size)

1 c milk
5 Tbsp flour
1 c sugar
1/2 c margarine
1/2 c vegetable shortening
1 tsp vanilla

1/2 c melted margarine
3 envelopes liquid chocolate or 3 rounded Tbsp cocoa
1 tsp vanilla
1 Tbsp hot water (may need more)
1 1/2 c powdered sugar (may need more)

Prepare cake mix as directed on box and bake in 10 x 15 pan sprayed with Pam for 15-18 minutes. Cool.
In small saucepan, cook and stir mixture of milk and flour until smooth and very thick. Cool and then chill in refrigerator. With mixer, cream sugar, margarine, vegetable shortening and vanilla. Add chilled paste; beat until creamy. Spread over cooled cake. Refrigerate.
Combine liquid chocolate and shortening; add powdered sugar, hot water and vanilla. Put on top of crème layer. If gets too thick while spreading, add a little hot water.
