Directions:
Soak oatmeal in 1 c. warm water for 5 minutes. Scald milk, add to mixture. Cool to lukewarm, add yeast. Add margarine, salt, maple syrup and sugar to oatmeal mixture. Add enough flour so when you stir it with a wooden spoon, it comes loose from the edge of the bowl. Put on floured board. Knead for 5 minutes or until no longer sticky. Put it to raise until double, about 1 1/2 hours. Turn it over, let rise again, about 45 minutes. Put on floured board, shape into 2 loaves and put in greased pans. Let rise another 45 minutes. Bake at 350* for 30 - 35 minutes.
