Aunt Norma listed her ingredients in the instructions so that's how I did it.

Directions:
Directions:
Step 1. 2 c. sugar, 2 c. flour, 1/2 tsp. salt. Set aside.
Step 2. 1 stick margarine, 4 Tbsp. cocoa, 1 c. water. Bring to a boil and pour over Step 1.
Step 3. 2 eggs (beaten), 1 tsp. soda, 1/2 c. buttermilk. Pour into Steps 1 and 2 and mix well. Pour into greased and floured 11 X 17 sheet pan. Bake at 350º until done.

Frosting: 1 stick margarine, 6 Tbsp. milk, 3 Tbsp. cocoa. Bring to a full boil for a few minutes. Then add a 1 lb. box of powdered sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, and 1 c. pecans. Frost while hot.

This is Norma Bunting's recipe. She is a sister to Quentin Roosevelt. This is one of my favorites. I was always happy when Aunt Norma brought this to church dinners.
