1 cup sugar
1 egg
3/4 cup butter softened not melted(1 1/2 sticks butter)
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup toffee bits
sugar to roll the cookie balls in

Directions:

preheat oven to 350
Combine sugar, butter, egg, and vanilla. Beat until well mixed, 1 - 2 minutes until creamy.
Add dry ingredients reducing speed to low until well mixed 1 - 2 minutes.
Stir toffee bits in by hand. Shape into 1" balls, roll in sugar.
Place cookie balls on ungreased cookie sheet and flatten with bottom of glass dipped in sugar (balls flattened should be 1 1/2 inch circle).
Bake 9 - 11 minutes till edges are crack. Do not over bake.
