1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg, separated
1 1/2 T. water
1/2 t. vanilla
1 c. flour
1/2 t. soda
1/8 t. salt
1 package chocolate chips (6 oz.)
1/2 c. peanuts, chopped
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar, 1/4 c. brown sugar and beaten egg yolk. Add water and vanilla. Combine flour, soda and salt to creamed mixture. Spread in 8x8 greased pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips over top.
Beat egg white until foamy, gradually add remaining 1/4 c. brown sugar. Beat till stiff. Spread meringue over chocolate chips; sprinkle with nuts. Bake at 350* for 35 minutes. Cool and cut.
