6 - 8 apples, peeled and sliced thin
1 c. sugar
1 t. cinnamon
1/8 t. salt
Crust:
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. shortening
1 t. salt
1 egg plus enough milk to make 2/3 c. liquid
1 c. crushed corn flakes

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first four ingredients and let stand while preparing crust.
Cut shortening into flour and salt. Add liquid. Roll half of the dough and put in 9x13 pan. Sprinkle with corn flakes. Add apple mixture on top of corn flakes. Roll other half of dough and put over apples. Seal edges, make slits for steam. Bake at 400* for about 30 minutes or until brown. While warm frost with thin icing. Cool and cut into squares.
