Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 1/2 + cups graham cracker crumbs
( I am generous with this measurement.)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
(Low fat or fat free can be substituted for the real thing!)
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate bits
( I always add extra!)
1/2 cups chopped walnuts or pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients well. Batter will be very stiff. Spread evenly in an 8"x8" metal pan, well buttered or sprayed with Pam.

Bake at 350* for 25 min. or until golden brown. Cool completely. Cut into 36 squares.

This recipe came from my mother, Jean Speck, and was our favorite Christmas sweet treat. The recipe originated during World War II when sugar was rationed, but somehow sweetened condensed milk was available. My sons still consider these brownies their favorite Christmas treat! Enjoy!
