3 C. Sugar
3 C. pecans
⅓ C. Dark Karo syrup
2 T. vanilla
2 Egg whites
1 C. water
⅛ tsp. soda

Directions:
Directions:
Boil sugar, water, and syrup, stirring until sugar is dissolved and forms a very hard ball. Beat egg whites, then slowly pour in the syrup and add soda and vanilla. Continue beating until thick and creamy. Add nuts and mix. Drop by teaspoonful onto wax paper. Serves 40. For white cake icing, use ½ of recipe. Use white Karo syrup.
