2 egg whites, unbeaten
1/2 t. cream of tarter
1/8 t. salt
1 c. sugar
1/2 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites, cream of tarter and salt until foamy. Add sugar 1 t. at a time to dissolve. Beat until it forms peaks. Stir in vanilla. Spoon into mounds on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in slow oven 275* for 50 - 60 minutes or until tops are crackly crisp but not brown. Loosen with spatula and cool. Store in airtight container.
