1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. molasses
1 egg
1/2 c. sour milk
1 t. baking soda
2 1/2 c. flour
1/4 t. salt
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add molasses. Stir. Add egg. Put baking soda in sour milk and add to molasses mixture. Mix in dry ingredients. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350* for 12 - 15 minutes.

Note: to make sour milk, use 1 T. vinegar and regular milk to make 1/2 c.
