3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1-1/2 c. corn oil
2 c. sugar
3 large eggs, room temperature
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1-1/4 c. pecans, finely chopped
2 c. pared apples, finely chopped (I use about 3 large Granny Smith)
BROWN SUGAR TOPPING;
1/2 c. butter
2 tsp. milk
1/2 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed

In a large bowl beat oil, sugar, and eggs on medium speed of mixer for 3-4 minutes until blended. Sift together flour, soda, and salt and gradually add this mixture to oil, sugar, and egg mixture; blend until smooth. Add vanilla extract. Fold in pecans and apples.
Pour batter into a greased and floured bundt pan.
Bake about 1 hour 20 minutes at 325 degrees or until cake tests done in middle.
Meanwhile, mix butter, milk, and brown sugar in saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat and cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Spoon brown sugar mixture over cake while cake is cooling.
Store in foil or tin for a day or two before serving....if you can wait that long!
