1 box butter, yellow cake mix

Filling

1 (12 oz) package frozen coconut
1 c. granulated sugar
1 (8 oz) container sour cream
1 1/2 c. dry coconut
1 (12 oz) package cool whip

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare and bake cake mix according to package directions.

Filling

Combine frozen coconut, sugar, sour cream, 1 cup dry coconut, and half of your cool whip. Mix ingredients until smooth. Place mixture (leaving approximately 1/3 for outside frosting) between cooled cake layers. Mix last 1/3 mixture with remaining cool whip and remaining dry coconut and frost outer layers of cake. Cover with loose coconut and chill.

Cake is best after 2 to 3 days. This gives the layers time to absorb the coconut filling.
