1 box yellow cake mix
1 small box instant vanilla pudding mix
3 eggs
1/2 c water
1/2 c oil
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 - 4 oz pkg sweet German chocolate squares, grated
1 c sour cream
6 oz chocolate chips
1 c chopped pecans

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º. Grease a tube or bundt pan. Combine cake mix, pudding, eggs, water, oil, cocoa, and German chocolate. Then add sour cream. Mix well. Fold in chocolate chips and pecans. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes. Remove from oven. Allow cake to cool in pan for 10 to 15 minutes then invert onto serving plate. Once cooled, cake can be sprinkled with powdered sugar or drizzled with lightly with melted chocolate or eaten plain.

When we began making this cake, we all had a good laugh over the name. There's been a version of this recipe floating around for years and the one in Mom's recipe box was called "Better Than Robert Redford." But since many people nowadays don't know who Robert Redford is and if you Googled him, he wouldn't look quite as handsome now as he did 30 to 40 years ago, we decided to stick with the current title.
