11/3 c. sugar
1 c. (2 sticks plus 2 tbsp.) margarine or butter, softened
1 tbsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs
3 c. all purpose flour
1 heaping tsp. baking powder
1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate toll morsels (1 c.)
1 c. walnuts and/or pecans
3 tbsp. sugar
3/4 tsp. cinnamon

Heat oven to 350º. Beat 11/3 sugar, margarine, vanilla and eggs in large bowl. Stir in flour and baking powder. Stir in nuts and chocolate morsels. Divide dough into fourths. Shape each fourth into roll, 1 inch in diameter and about 15 inches long on lightly floured surface. Place rolls about 21/2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet (you can spray with PAM). Flatten slightly with fork to about 5/8 inch thickness.

Mix 3 tbsp. sugar and 3/4 tsp. cinnamon. Sprinkle over dough. Bake 12-15 minutes or until edges are light brown. Cut diagonally into 1 inch strips while warn.
