Ingredients:  
1/4 c flour
1 t salt
1/4 t pepper
2 lbs beef round steak, 1 inch thick
3 T shortening
1/2 c onion
1 quart tomatoes
2 T chopped green peppers
Season to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, salt and pepper; pound into meat. In large skillet, brown meat on both sides in hot shortening. Top with onions and tomatoes and cook at low heat for 1 1/2 hours or till tender. Add green peppers and cook 15 minutes more.
OR transfer to baking dish and cook covered at 350º for 1 1/2 hours. Uncover and add green peppers; cook 15 more minutes.
