1 46oz. jar whole sour dill pickles, NOT kosher dills
2-1/2 c. sugar
4 cloves garlic sliced thin
2 tsp. minced jalapeņo
2 tsp. red pepper flakes
2 tsp. pickling spice

Directions:
Directions:
Drain pickles, discard juice. Slice pickles 1/4"-1/2" thick. Divide into 4 equal portions. In a separate bowl add the sugar, jalapeņo, red pepper flakes, and pickling spice and mix. Then layer the first 1/4 of pickle slices back into the pickle jar. Cover with 1/4 of the sugar mixture, another 1/4 of the pickle mixture, another layer of pickles etc. finishing with the sugar mixture. Cover with lid and let sit on counter overnight. Shake jar to mix, let sit in the refrigerator for 7 days. Then enjoy.
