1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 lb. ground beef (or shredded rotisserie chicken, skin removed)
1 garlic clove, minced (chopped into small pieces)
1 tablespoon chili powder
1.5 teaspoons ground cumin
1 cup Hunts tomato sauce (NOT spaghetti sauce, plain tomato sauce)
1/2 cup salsa
salt to taste

1 large bag tortilla chips
1 bag shredded Mexican cheese
chopped scallions (green onions)

guacamole (optional)
sour cream (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare beef or chicken as directed in recipe for Beef or Chicken Tacos.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line bottom of large cookie tray with layer of tortilla chips. Top with beef or chicken, sprinkle with cheese and green onions. Spread another layer of chips over this and add layer of meat, then sprinkle again with cheese and green onion. Continue until no chips left.

Bake in oven about 20-30 minutes until cheese is melted and chips are browning. Can serve with guacamole, sour cream and extra salsa on side.
