2 pkg dry yeast
1/2 c lukewarm water
1 1/2 c milk, scalded
1/2 c shortening
2 t salt
1/2 c molasses
4 1/2 -5 c flour
2 c rolled oats

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare yeast in water and sugar. Mix shortening, salt and molasses; pour milk over; stir until shortening melts. Cool to lukewarm. Stir in 1 c of flour; add yeast mixture and oats. Add enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead about 10 minutes. Placed in greased bowl. Cover and let double in size (1 hour). Punch down and rest 10 minutes. Form loaves in two loaf pans. Cover and let double (1 hour). Bake 375º for 35-40 minutes.
