Granny Smith Apples, sliced thin

cinnamon
nutmeg
Sauce: 1 cup water, 1/4 cup butter & 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed.

Directions:
Roll pastry in thin circles. (If you buy pre made pastry, cut each sheet in fourths.) Place several slices of apple in each circle (4 or 5 slices) put 1 pat of butter, a little sugar, cinnamon & nutmeg on top of the apples and roll the pastry around the apples. Place each in buttered glass baking dish.

Mix the brown sugar, water and butter and heat on stove. Pour this sauce over the apples and bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes; then 20 to 30 minutes more at 375 degrees.

Must serve these warm with "sheep dip". Add a little sugar and nutmeg to a cup of whole milk or half and half.
