3 cups sugar
1 cup white karo syrup
1 cup water
1/4 cup butter
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
2 3/4 cups raw peanuts
1 tsp baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Place a jelly roll pan in a preheated 200º oven. Mix butter, salt, soda and vanilla in a small bowl and set aside. Place sugar, syrup and water in a heavy pan and stir until dissolved. Bring sugar mixture to a boil. Wash down the sides of the kettle with a brush dipped in water and cover with a lid for a few seconds. Cook to 235º. Add peanuts and begin stirring constantly. Cook slowly to 310º. Remove from heat and stir in the butter mixture. Immediately pour into the warm jelly roll pan and carefully spread the mixture out. Cool and break. Store in an air tight container.
