Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 Devil's Food Cake mix
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. confectionery sugar
2 c. Cool Whip
Apx 12 Oreo cookies, broken
1 can chocolate frosting

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare cake as on package using 2 round layers.

Filling: Mix cream cheese, and confectionery sugar. Fold in Cool Whip. Add Oreo's.

Layer: Cake, Filling, Cake. Heat can of frosting slightly in microwave - until able to pour as a thick liquid. Pour over center of cake and let it run across top and drip down the sides.

I usually put mine on a cake stand and the extra frosting ends up around the bottom of the cake. Turns out rather pretty. Refrigerate due to Cool Whip & cream cheese.

Personal Notes:
From our church friend, Ellen Roberts in 2007. I've made it many times since then for special events.
