1 can (1 lb 5 oz) crushed or chunk pineapple
1 can (1 lb 5 oz) cherry or strawberry pie filling
1 box yellow or white cake mix
1 1/2 cubes butter or margarine
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Dump pineapple over bottom of greased 9" x 13" pan. Dump pie filling over pineapple. Dump cake mix (dry) over all. Slice butter over dry cake mix and sprinkle with nuts.

Bake 350º for 1 hour. Serve from baking pan warm with ice cream or cool whip.
