1/2 c boiling water
1/4 c butter
1 c wild cranberries (lingonberries)
1 c raisins
1 c sugar
3 T flour
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Pastry for a double crust pie

Directions:
Directions:
Put boiling water in a sauce pan and stir in butter to melt. Add all other ingredients and bring to a boil. Simmer a couple of minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and cool.

Pour into prepared pie crust, and add the top crust. Remember to put in some steam vents. Bake at 375º F for 25 minutes, reduce heat to 350º F and bake for about 20 more minutes, until golden brown.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

When Mom and Dad moved to Emma Lake, and had access to the wild cranberries (aka lingonberries) that grow in that area, Mom created this recipe to make use of the abundant berries.
